My name is Jim Cramer.  I live in Jackson Hole, Wyoming most of my time, but have two little boys that live in Salt Lake City, Utah.  Because I see them every week, the five hour drive from Jackson to Salt Lake began to wear me out.  Thus, I decided to look into aviation.  Turns out, that five hour drive can be done in ONE hour in a Cirrus SR-22 Turbo!   One test ride in this plane and I was sold!

I receive my pilot license in 2007 and purchased my Cirrus shortly afterwards.  I absolutely love this plane and where it’s taken me.  A complex aircraft takes sometime to get used to, but I highly doubt you can ever go back.  In the spring of 2008 I decided to get my instrument rating in my Cirrus.  Many hours of hard work and sweat ensued.  But the glass cockpit makes IFR a dream!  The moving maps, the approach plates, the Flight Director all help ease the load IMC weather can bring.  Because the weather between Jackson Hole and Salt Lake can get icy at times, I’ve decided to invest in a new Cirrus G-3 with FIKI (flight into known icing).  If it were not for this new option, I would never even consider selling my current G-2
